About organization
Southern Federal University is the largest scientific and educational center in the south of Russia, which traces its history back to 1915. The uniqueness of the university lies in its location. SFedU is located in the cities of Rostov-on-Don and Taganrog, which is due to the scale of the university and a wide range of tasks to be solved: the establishment of the university as a leading center for training highly qualified specialists; the development of fundamental and applied research; inclusion in international research and educational networks.

SFedU Student campus
SFedU provides its students with comfortable apartment-type dormitories in Rostov-on-Don and Taganrog. There are sports grounds, a swimming pool, a library, reading rooms and a cafe on the territory. The student campus is a secure facility equipped with surveillance cameras and security
Library
The main library of the Southern Federal University is located in an old mansion on Pushkinskaya Street. Scientists and teachers of SFedU have free access to full-text databases Web of science, Scopus, SciVal, Springer Link and other digital resources

Students and researchers conduct scientific and industrial research in international laboratories, design bureaus and various centers such as the Center for High-Tech Instrumentation, the Engineering Center for Instrumentation, Radio and Microelectronics, and the Advanced Engineering School
