I like the fact that SFU has a strong teaching staff in the humanities, especially in the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language. The teachers motivate not only to actively study Russian language and culture, but also to participate in conferences and interdisciplinary research at various levels. Young people are actively encouraged to learn foreign languages, and international students try to attend national events and festivals of all nations of Russia and the world more often. SFU actively develops international relations, so there is a multicultural atmosphere here.

I am a PhD student at the Faculty of Physics of SFU, studying on the programme ‘Physics of Space and Astronomy’. In 2017, I chose to study in Russia to fulfil my dream of becoming a scientist and researching quantisation of gravity. During this time I developed not only in physics, but also engaged in writing short stories and novels in Russian, participated in economic forums, international conferences and All-Russian Olympiads in Russian language. This was possible thanks to the support of teachers and scientists who help us in our scientific activities.

Hi everyone, I am Ba Mamadou! I am Ba Mamadou! I have a wonderful faculty at SFU, who are always ready to help students and offer to participate in interesting scientific research work. During the educational process at my faculty I took part in various student conferences, which helped me in writing scientific articles. Now I realise my abilities in various projects, and I already work in my speciality - as a software engineer. I thank the South Federal University for all the opportunities I have been given.

I came to Rostov-on-Don from Turkmenistan, graduated from the Southern Federal University with a bachelor's degree, and now I am studying for a master's degree in Pedagogical Education. My future speciality is teaching Russian as a foreign language. At the university I met wonderful friends. Studying together with students of different cultures has become the best experience of my student life. Studying at SFU has opened new perspectives for me, as I am getting a quality education in a demanded direction.
